Jayla's First Dance Performance!!

Jayla has been taking dance for quite a few months and has been catching on pretty quick. She loves to go and her teacher makes it really fun for the little girls. They have been learning a Pinocchio dance and they got to perform their fun moves at the Del Mar Fair (I know, you San Deigans are saying its called the San Diego Fair now, but I find I must keep to my old ways!) We decided to make a day of it and see all the fun things at the fair.

Lucky me, I got to lead her on to stage and none of her friends were brave enough to go first, so first we got to be!
Getting ready to start!

Halfway through the dance the girls got way confused and it feel apart just a little!!

What better way to celebrate than good ole ice cream!!

and chocolate-covered frozen bananas! Plus, we all had funnel cakes, Josh got a deep-fried twinkie, I had kabobs, and my dad even got a foot-long sausage!! We were feeling a little sick afterward, but it was totally worth it!

Very skeptic of some guy trying to sell us stuff!! My dad was the sucker, he bought lots of fun new toys!!

We got to see the cows, pigs, goats and horses, as well. The girls loved every minute. Too bad I didn't get a picture. The best part was when they were watching a cow, it actually mooed. The girls thought that was so funny and they couldn't stop laughing. We have never heard a real cow moo before!!

Such a fun performance!! I love that it was Pinocchio. And performing at the fair is kind of a big deal. Sounds like a fun time... the picture of all of them folding their arms is so cute. Again...SO sorry that I didn't get to see you. I looked for you at Church but didn't see you there. Next time, for sure!
