The Prodigal Son has arrived!!

After many long months of sickness, injuries, and a whole lot of bed rest, we now present....

Joshua Grayson Preece
Born on February 8th, 2011
12:48 PM
8 lbs. and 21.5 inches long
This was my fastest delivery yet! It seems that with each child it gets shorter by about two hours. Since I have been induced with every child, it has been super nice to plan and be completely ready for the hospital. No surprises or crazy, delivery in a car or home story!

They started the pitocin just after eight in the morning, I requested the epidural by nine, at 10:30 am I was at a four, and by 12:00 I was at a ten!! A couple of pushes, and he arrived!!

The worst part of this delivery were the failed attempts to insert or attach the IV and trying to draw my blood. The nurse had to try twice to insert the IV and the technician couldn't get a good blood vein on my other arm to draw blood. There is nothing I hate more than needles and being poked a hundred times. Not to mention I had bruises for over a week from where the needles were inserted!! UGH!!
One PROUD Daddy!!
Uncle Bubba! He was the first relative to see our little guy, and he sure was happy about it!

Nana Lu!

Papa John!
The girls meeting their little brother for the first time!!
Our sweet little angels!! (At least, in the picture!)

Playing in the tub in the hospital room!!
Ready to go home!

One worn-out mommy! So glad to be done!

Big sister time!!
They can't get enough of holding him!
For a progress report on my pain, I am no longer in severe pain anymore. I am able to take care of my kids again, make dinner, do the dishes, fold laundry, stand the whole time I shower and I can sit up as long as I want. These things were impossible to do before and now I can handle them! Only problems: I still can't lay on my side without being in pain, I still have to sit to put pants on, and I can't lift my leg more than a few inches off the ground. My mom is hoping these pains continue, so that they will fix the problem this time!! Me, personally, I just want to be done with all pain for a little while!!

Check out that Belly!

Almost to the end and of course, we needed proof that I really was pregnant. At least, for memories and baby books!!

Small things for a Birthday!

This was probably Josh's most depressing birthday. I was in so much pain, that we couldn't really do a date night. Plus, the night of his birthday, we had a friend from the ward bringing us dinner, so he didn't get to pick his favorite dish. I also was not able to run to the store and buy him a present, so I had to send my mom to pick up something. He didn't get his favorite cake either, because I couldn't handle making it and I didn't want my mother to add one more thing to her to-do list!! But we did buy a cake and there were candles!! Helping Daddy blow out his candles!!

Showing off a new pair of shoes (from my parents) and an Ipod shuffle (from me)!
Sorry, babe! Next year I will make it up to you and give you an awesome birthday!!

Merry, Merry Christmas!!

This Christmas, we stayed home! Since we don't technically have our own home, we were able to enjoy lots of time with all my family. We did a lot of sitting around this Christmas, since I was in too much pain to do anything else. It was very relaxing, but very uneventful!

Opening presents with the cousins! My brother and his family spent the holiday in northern California, so we swapped presents the Monday before.

Oh no, kissing cousins...
...and hugging cousins!!

Opening the one christmas eve present!!

New pajamas! Yeah!
Waiting for Uncle Nick, so the girls can come down and see the presents!
Waiting for Papa to get the video camera ready.
New Toys! The girls got a kitchen for christmas.
Sadee even got a new helicopter!!
Official Michael Weston Sunglasses!
We bought these for my brother for Christmas! If you have never seen Burn Notice on USA, you are missing out. Nick reminds us of the main character so we couldn't help it, and bought him the special sunglasses!

The Nativity Story (Joy School Style)

For Joy School, Jayla and her friends were able to learn and perform the Nativity Story. They did an amazing job. They performed at a nursing home and Jayla was the only one to sing all the songs. We, also, had a christmas party one evening so the dads could see the performance. Jayla was a Wiseman!Pointing to the star!

Let's Go to the Movies!!

My dad took my husband to a chargers game one night, and us girls couldn't stand the thought of staying home alone with the little ones! So we went and saw tangled at the movie theater!! The girls loved the show, and we just had to keep feeding Sadee snacks to keep her happy. I was in serious pain by the end of the night, but it was worth it to experience their first movie in the theaters! Glued to the screen!! This is how they looked most of the movie!!
Playing with the hands-on movie displays!!
