Sadee's Two Months Old!!

So I am a little late on this but.....We have made it past the two month mark and we actually got a smile caught on camera. So so cute!! You have gotta love them!!

Okay not the greatest smile, but we at least got one!! Jayla couldn't miss out on the photo shoot!!

A visit from Grandparents!!

Josh's grandparents called me up one random day last week and asked if they could come visit and drop off a blanket for Sadee. I was so glad that they wanted to come and was more than willing to let them stop by. Plus, I needed a good reason to clean my house. Jayla did not take a nap that day and so I was really worried that she would be a total punk and not talk to them at all. She surprised me and brought out her toys and read books with Josh's grandpa. It was so awesome to see. Jayla even blew pretend bubbles that Grandpa Gividen pretended to pop.
(The battery in my camera was dead, so I found some old camera in the back of a drawer in our computer desk. Thank goodness it worked. I wanted to have these pictures to share with Jayla some day.)

I am so grateful for the time we get to spend with them because I never knew my great-grandparents, and my dad's parents died when I was really young. Plus, My nana (my mom's mom) died when I was seventeen, and I only have one more grandpa left. I want to see them whenever we can because it won't last forever. If Grandma and Grandpa Gividen ever read this, I am grateful for their love and support.

The funny things Jayla does...

A few Sundays ago, we put Jayla down for a nap and went downstairs to relax. Little did we know, Josh accidentally left a full pack of wipes in Jayla's room. She likes to be like her mommy and change her babies diapers and I guess she thought she needed every wipe in the pack. This is what we saw when we went to get her up from a nap.

Josh, of course, thought it would be funny to throw all the wipes back at her. Such a fun game!


In the mornings I am not the easiest person to wake up, so when Sadee starts crying it takes me a minute to realize where I am and to go into her room. Jayla however is usually awake playing in her room, and she always wants to make her sister happy. I have now caught her in Sadee's room sitting on a box of wipes and diapers several different days, telling her sister that its okay. I fear the day she learns she can climb into the crib.

So Every since the finale, I have been missing my favorite show, SYTYCD. Thanks to the internet, I am able to watch my favorite parts over and over again. I just wanted to show off my favorite video in the world. I don't know if I just love the song, bleeding love, or what, but Chelsie and Mark do a fabulous job.

Picture Day!!

We went and got the girls pictures taken a few weeks ago!! They actually turned out really good. Between together pictures and seperates, and three outfit changes we ended with these pics as favorites. Enjoy!!

Crazy days and Sick Nights

I have been terrible at blogging these past couple of weeks. Maybe its the fact that I am adjusting to two children and I am getting little sleep, but we really haven't had any major events in our lives. Here's a good story for everyone however.

Labor day weekend was very eventful for us. My sister and brother came into town to get away for a few days. That Friday, I found a cup of rotten milk in Jayla's room. Before I could dispose of it Jayla took a big gulp. SHe preceded to spit it out and I figured she didn't swallow it. She woke up from her nap screaming and right as I walked into the room to get her, she threw up all over her comforter. She threw up several more times that evening, and we just figured it was the rotten milk. Well, Julia flew in Saturday, and we went shopping and had olive garden with her. By Sunday morning, Josh and I both felt really sick and ended catching whatever Jayla had. Nick came down with a sore throat and spent the day on our couch with us. Julia spent all day Sunday taking care of all of us. When my mother found out she of course said do not send Julia home if she gets sick. Well, sure enough Monday morning she was throwing up and had a fever. Thank goodness, Sadee missed the sick train!! But my sister ended up staying an extra day, so there is the one bonus.

Jayla wouldn't go to sleep in her bed for nap and fell asleep in Josh's arms. She hasn't done this since she was a baby.

She even fell asleep with her toys in hand. Poor thing!

Jayla showing off her killer smile!! Last week, we went to Josh's Cousin, Alex's wedding reception. We drove up to Park City and had dinner at a really nice resort. It was a lot of fun, especially since we got a babysitter for Jayla and Sadee slept most of the time.
