Jayla in May
A few weeks ago, my friend Alana had her photographer friend take pictures of Jayla. This budding photographer wants to build her portfolio and said she would do it for free. We just played behind our house and Jayla had so much fun. We had such a good time and the pictures are pretty cute. Hope you enjoy some good-looking pictures of Jayla! No funny faces here!!

Tribute to my adopted Big Sis
On my blog today I received a comment from a long lost friend. One summer in high school, my dad hired a intern and she had no place to stay. She was newly married and her husband was somewhere in the midwest doing another internship. My parents being the good people that they are offered up my bedroom for her to stay and spend the summer with us. I never knew she would become such a wonderful friend and pretend big sis. She spent most of her time with our family because she had nowhere else to go and she was tons of fun. SHe even went with my mom, my sister, and me to pick out a dress for my junior prom. Between spilt tomatoes and lettuce all over my mother that day, we became really good friends. Anyways! Thanks for being so great! We really miss you!! Below is the picture of her little family. They are so cute!

Elder Bubba Preston
A friend of ours who lives in Lima, Peru, ran into my little brother, Jordan, at church the other day. This may not be a big deal to anyone else, but I was so excited to see him. I just wanted to reach out and hug him. For anyone who would love to meet my brother or just see him again, check this video out.

My child is a Player!!
I know this may sound shocking to think of sweet little innocent Jayla as a player, but we have proof. In Nursery, she tries to kiss a boy named Elijah. He's about two weeks younger than her. Plus, She holds hands with an older man(okay, he's four, but still). She and our nieghbor, Tyler Bulloch, walk up and down the street together. He rides the bike and she walks along side.

But thats besides the point, she has her father's blood in her thats for sure. Last night she went on her first official date to Winger's with Alex Howcroft, our other neighbor. I wasn't sure I was ready for this big step in our child's life, but maybe she's a little early for this. She took fries off my plate and shared them with him. Plus, she shared her scrapes of her PB and J sandwich with him. Our friends said that their son has never been that good at a restaurant before and are hoping we make it a normal occurance. I am not sure I am ready for my daughter to be dating so seriously just yet, so we may have to postpone it. hehe!

Our only worry is that these boys will find out about her player ways. She may lose all of them. hehe!

Happy Easter!!
Just thought I would show off Jayla's new dress that she wore for the first time on Easter. Her favorite Aunt, Julia, bought her this cute outfit so I really can't take much credit. Our neighbors received little chicks for easter from their grandma so we had fun taking pictures with Jayla and the chick. She was a little shocked when we put that chick in her lap thats for sure.

Jayla is getting a new....
Sister!! We are excited to announce that we are having another baby girl on August second. I am so thrilled that Jayla gets to have a sister and friend all wrapped into one. They will have so much fun together and hopefully be the best of friends. Josh is a little bummed because he has to wait that much longer for his football buddy to come along, but we are excited. Plus, we only have to repaint Jayla's new room and not the babies room as well. We still aren't sure if Jayla is excited or not but we will see when the baby actually is here.
We have yet to choose a name but we will let you know when one has been decided. Any suggestions are welcome, but they probably won't be considered. hehe!!
